One thing I truly love about being in this industry is the power of music to uplift, inspire, and unite people from all walks of life. As a true all-round music lover, I appreciate many genres — but my heart will always belong to Dancehall, Roots, Reggae, and Lovers Rock.

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and connect with both legendary artists and rising stars with incredible talent. My journey has taken me deep into the heart of Jamaican music culture — from Clarendon to Portmore, and of course, Seaview — staying closely connected to the very streets where the music is born.

I’m passionate about keeping my finger on the pulse of the Dancehall scene, bringing you fresh new music, authentic vibes, and exclusive interviews with some of the most influential names in the Jamaican music industry.

Theo Webber, known to many as Mench, proudly representing the North West of England. My musical journey began in childhood, surrounded by the sounds of Reggae, Soul, Jazz, and more — genres that laid the foundation for a lifelong love of music.

Today, I’m a recording artist and radio host, passionate about sharing music that brings genuine peace to the soul and connects like-minded people across communities and generations.

Music has always been more than just sound to me — it’s a way of life, a force that uplifts, heals, and empowers. That’s why I’m now focused on passing these creative skills on to the next generation, helping young people unlock their potential and become the best versions of themselves.

Whether he's dropping old-school anthems or the freshest beats, his deep musical roots and razor-sharp skills shine through every transition.

Raised on Motown, reggae, and the rhythms passed down by his musically rich family, Quickdraw’s journey has been inspired by legends like DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Puffy, Trevor Nelson, and David Rodigan — and it shows. His sound is timeless, his energy infectious.

Drum and Bass and Jungle show 'The Heavy Session' every Friday evening from 11pm to Galaxy Preston, with fresh underground sounds as well as the classics and also interviews and guest mixes from DJs worldwide!

Jadie has had residencies across the UK and in Ibiza under various aliases during her 20 plus years as a DJ and music producer, more recently broadcasting and presenting on radio stations including Beat 103, Lazer FM Worldwide, Shine and Leet Radio. Jadie has also been running underground events locally, such as Just Jungle and Below Ground, bringing major headliners to Preston, including S Man, Andee J, DJ Hybrid, Chris Liberator, Foxtrot and Egebamyasi.

The One Compton is no stranger to the eyes and ears of Preston, the North West, and beyond. A respected figure in the UK’s urban music scene, he’s been delivering quality events and unforgettable vibes since the early '90s — always with his finger firmly on the pulse of what’s hot, now and next.

A true tastemaker for tastemaker people, Compton’s passion lies in championing fresh talent, future sounds, and the music that moves culture forward. Whether on stage, behind the mic, or curating a line-up, his mission remains the same: to deliver cutting-edge music and authentic energy to every audience.

With over 40 years of involvement in semi-professional football, including time at clubs such as Lancaster City, Morecambe, Kendal, Barrow, and Chorley,  Tony  brings a wealth of experience and insight to the airwaves of CityBeat Radio.

A born and bred Prestonian, he proudly attended Fulwood High School before beginning a long-standing career with Lancashire County Council, retiring in 2023 at the age of 69. But sport has always been his true passion.

Alongside football, he enjoyed a successful cricket career — particularly in the Northern League — and continued playing until the age of 54. One of his proudest moments came while playing for Blackpool Cricket Club, helping the team lift the National Cup Knockout in a memorable final at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Now bringing his lifelong love of sport to the microphone,  Tony shares expert commentary, in-depth analysis, and heartfelt passion for the games and teams that shape our region.
